The representatives of Pomorie, Sofia, Burgas, Chepelare, Sozopol, Svishtov, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Chelopech, Dobrichka, Lyaskovets, Krushari, Dimovo, Silistra, Belene, Bratsigovo, Svilengrad, Ivanovo, Nesebar, Sredets, Blagoevgrad and Kameno municipalities, as well as Lovech District had the chance to meet potential partners for projects to be implemented under EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021 in the Area of Support Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Energy Security, for which EUR 28 million are allocated. Partners for management of this programme will be Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE).
The topics for the meetings were the use of geothermal energy (heating / cooling) in buildings, improvement of energy efficiency in existing buildings to achieve Class A and implementation of pilot projects for buildings with almost zero energy consumption, the rehabilitation and modernization of street lighting - smart lighting and the monitoring of energy consumption in municipal buildings.
The event was funded under Programme BG04 "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy" Bilateral Relations Fund, financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009 – 2014.
