On 10 and 11 May 2018, a conference on "Innovation and Intellectual Property - A Basic Prerequisite for Competitiveness" was held at the House of Engineering in Pleven. The conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the entry into force of the Patents Act.
€2 million for Innovation Improving Mobility of older people
The European Commission's “Horizon Prize for Social Innovation” will reward the best solutions for improving the travel mobility of older people: €1 000 000 will be awarded to the best solution and the four runner-up prizes will receive €250 000 each.

Science-Business Co-operation Conference
Foundation Vision for Science and Technology Growth with the support of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and in cooperation with RAND Europe and GIS – Transfer Center and Chambers of Commerce organized a conference “Science-Business Co-operation”, which was held on 10 March 2017 in Sofia. About 100 participants discussed how production of science can be financed in cooperation with business and how science can be managed and developed to applications in the commercial world.

На 10 март 2017 г. се проведе конференция на тема „Сътрудничество на науката с бизнеса", организирана от Фондация „Визия за научен и технологичен растеж". В рамките на събитието участие взеха представители на държавни институции, бизнеса и на академичната общност.

Фокусът на дискусиите в рамките на конференцията беше насочен върху възможностите за финансиране на научни изследвания за иновационни продукти с приложение в бизнеса, практиката на други държави за управление на интелектуална собственост, патенти и процедурите за комерсиализация. Сред презентаторите бяха г-жа Моли Морган Джоунс от Ранд Европа, г-н Тобиас Енгерт от Института за изследване нa тежки метали в Германия, г-жа Милена Дамянова, бивш зам. министър на МОН и председател на парламентарна комисия, акад. Атанас Атанасов, г-н Младен Джалъзов от Cupffee, инж. Пламен Дилков, зам.-президент на Конфиндустрия България, г-н Дейвид Хемпсън, основател на фондация „Визия за научен и технологичен растеж“, проф. Костадин Костадинов, бивш зам.-министър на МОН.
